Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Leagify is a platform for running sports leagues, operated from the United Kingdom by Leagify Ltd (“Leagify”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Leagify.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement to use Leagify. Younger players may take part in a league with the involvement of a parent or guardian; where we know a player is under 16 we apply additional protections (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised. We may require multi-factor authentication for sensitive actions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law, or use Leagify to harass, abuse or endanger anyone;
• upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful or harmful;
• attempt to access data or leagues you are not authorised to, or interfere with the service’s operation or security;
• misuse the service in a way that harms other members or Leagify.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that breach these terms, and we operate safeguarding and moderation processes for the protection of members.

5. Running a league (organisers)

If you run a league, you are responsible for the members and data you add to it and for having a proper basis to include people’s details. You must handle your members’ information lawfully and honour their data-protection rights. League data is public by default; you can make a league private or unlisted in its settings.

6. Payments and fees

Where a league charges an entry or tournament fee, payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Leagify may charge a small platform fee on amounts collected. Refunds are handled by the league organiser through the platform. Fees, refund terms and any subscription details are shown before you pay. 7. Live streaming

Streaming a fixture is optional and requires image-rights consent from the players involved (and explicit guardian consent for anyone under 18). You can ask us to remove a recording you appear in at any time; see our Privacy Policy for the takedown process.

8. Intellectual property

Leagify and its software, design and branding belong to us. You keep ownership of the content you add; you grant us the permission we need to host and display it in order to operate the service (for example, showing public league results on a league’s page).

9. Availability and “as is”

We work to keep Leagify available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Some features are new and may change.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the extent permitted by law. [Specific liability caps and exclusions to be completed on legal review.]

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Leagify and delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or where we must to comply with the law or protect members.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. We’ll post the new version here with a revised date and highlight material changes in the app.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law where you live provides otherwise.
